00:00 / 00:00

On this 2nd installment of my two-part series with the Kessler Foundation, the focus is research and initiatives led by Dr. Denise Fyffe and Dr. Jeanne Zanca, on improving the quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injuries and their families. We begin with their personal journeys into SCI research, then pivot to the challenges faced by the community, and the development and implementation of programs aimed at supporting these individuals, and their caregivers, emphasizing the importance of community support and holistic care. Key initiatives we find out more about include the SCI Navigator Program and Community Connect, which aim to facilitate smoother transitions from rehabilitation to home life, and enhance the quality of life for those affected by SCI.
